#165755 - Is the 8052 not sexy anymore? |
I know its contencious but if you take a wonder over to avrfreaks for example its pretty lively with people using new versions of avr processors which are appearing all the time, various companies dropping support for 8052 based products and newer designs taking over from the 8052 which has in all fairness been around for a very long time.
Its also down to students not being taught how to program embedded systems and leaving university expecting to program in C++ on systems with unlimited resources. I think it will limp on for a few more years, but for all intents and purposes its pretty much dead in the water. |
