The temperature inside a closed automotive may rise above 85C . I was thinking to implement an onboard temperature sensor to compensates this by switching the IC. Though the IC has builtin over temperature sensing and compensation but if it works in this temperature band continuously its going to suffer even more.

Thats a legitimate point ,does that apply in case we do not let it cool off entirely .
