#159300 - Plugin cards should be ok Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The older PCMCIA card is basically a 16-bit ISA board in a different form factor.
A PC Card is basically a PCI board in a different form factor. The ExpressCard is basically a PCI-Express board in a different form factor. Anyone of them should support a RS232 port with almost identical performance as a built-in port. Especially since a built-in port normally is located on an internal PCI bus with regards to the chip-set in the computer. |
