#157467 - Try it yourself, Craig ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Ride your bicycle southbound down South Federal boulevard between 6th Avenue and Evans Avenue near dusk any Friday afternoon or evening during the summer and see how pleasant it is avoiding the puddles in the street in front of, when there hasn't been rain for weeks, or even streams of urine from, the bus stop kiosks. You may live where there aren't so many bus stops, or rentals that these invaders can afford ... or people willing to rent to them, or you're simply far enough from where they want to work that they can't live there (Imagine that!).
I don't see my irritation with the unacceptable behavior of these invaders as being at all extreme. I'd be just as irritated if any legal inhabitant behaved that way. What really irritates me, however, is the "sympathy" with which they're treated, given free and untaxed access to our taxpayer-funded resources such as publicly funded health care, room-and-board while they're in jail, and access to the courts, while they should simply be repatriated. If employers were fined sufficiently, e.g. 10 years' gross revenue for each time an invader were found sweeping the floor or watering the shrubbery, this invasion would stop. I;d have no problem with cessation of all cross border travel and trade across that southern border in order to stop the invasion. Then we could focus on the remaining borders. The rise in petroleum prices wouldn't bother me. RE |
