I've become focused on protecting him from all of you guys who want to impose your judgments on him, rather than helping him do what he wants.

It is, after all, HIS choice, not yours, what he does.

It's your choice whether to help, of course. That's where your moral judgment becomes relevant. YOU decide whether to participate in what you perceive of his intent.

He's lost interest, perhaps, because of all the (unwarranted?) criticism, etc.
