thanks for the reply

the things is I am dialing to a local serve and there is an option to see the logs from the server by conencting to there using putty.
.
Now i am not configuring nything before dial.
do i need to configure any registers of the modem before dialing?
if so which are the registers?
and with which value i have to do that like carrier detect tiem and all?
