I've found that the support offered by manufacturers varies wildly, it certainly does not seem to matter who you work for with some of them (I work for a multiple billion dollar telecoms equipment manufacturer), others have admitted that as soon as they see the company name, they act.
I've had some very good support from the likes of Maxim, EXAR, Spansion, Kemet. Others have been appalling, or just ignorant, we just note who they are, and stop using them if at all possible. |
