#148100 - Snatching victory from defeat? (tech support)
After sitting on a shelf for months, I've finally fired up my ADuC Quickstart kit. It's an Analog Devices AD845 board with a support CD which includes tools, datasheets etc.

Initial impressions aren't good. The polarity of the UK supply included is wrong, but as an electronics engineer, I can figure this out. The European supply (also included) will do for the time being.

Then I try the WSD program (Windows downloader), which crashes. I'm even less impressed.

I email tech support, and less than an hour later I get the reply telling me that V6 of WSD shipped with bad drivers, and if that's what I've got, to please follow the link to download V7 of WSD. Lo and behold, V7 works.

I think that's a thumbs up for Analog Devices tech support.
