#141201 - If you see the "spiderweb technology" ... Responding to: ???'s previous message |
as promoted by Bob Pease, of National Semiconductor fame, it's not necessary to have "pretty" circuits, but it is necessary to have high integrity. These ProtoBoards seldom can ensure that. After a few insertions and removals of #20 wire, which is what was initially provided, IIRC, with my ProtoBoards, the connections I frequently used are no longer similar to the others, perhaps less frequently used, and, if I have any density at all, they become difficult to maintain or even see while fiddling with the circuit. Often enough, removing a passive will also disturb something else, which, occasionally, is hard to detect. These things seldom happen when components and wires are soldered or wire-wrapped. As has been said already, tacking on a passive is not difficult or risky since the soldering iron, as well as the solder-sucker, is hot from 7 in the morning until 11 at night or later.
