... that nowadays a lot of IT guys simply installs prechewed applications to handle mail, de-spamming, local redirection and similar stuff, without really understanding what they do.
The mail then usually gets lost within the same machine - just look at some of the headers, localhost (127.0.0.1) passing it to localhost (127.0.0.1) is not uncommon. And a root of many today's problems at least in our company is the desperate attempt to stop the spams (and decrease traffic due to spam-like chains of stupid pictures, pps-s and similar). JW |
