#128355 - I agree Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Unfortunately, neither of the bosses who appreciate hearing their employee's opinions are hiring at the moment.
I agree, rarely they have any openings, simply because the people that work for them do not leave. However, if you suffer in your current job, just keep suffering till such an opening occur, they DO, simply because businesses run that way expand. In one of the cases where I worked for a 'reasonable' boss a coworker was lured away by a higher salary. 3 months later he took a paycut and came back. I recall a horrible job I once had that paid through the roof. After a while, when I had settled into an existence fitting the job I sat down and started figuring: Often, after a long harrassing day, I needed 'comfort' and went to a good (expensive) restaurant. Often after a long harrassing week I went to a resort for the weekend to relax ..... The net result was that I spent more money 'relaxing' than the difference between the pay for a decent job and the pay for this harrassing job. So I went back to "a reasonable job for a reasonable pay" and have stayed in that type ever since. Am I suggesting you should take a great job even if the pay is peanuts? Of course not. Any employre that treat his employees in a decent way will pay "prevailing wages" or a bit more, but I have never seen such an employer to pay a "fantasy" salary, when such is offered, LOOK OUT.
