#127520 - Did you accidentally vote for Pat Buchannan? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Since the code is open-sourced, anyone could .... You do that. Make the code open sourced and I promise you that everyone will vote the way they should because everyone will vote the way I decide. Obviously I'm being just a bit hyperbolic. I wouldn't really hack the polling system, but someone would. As far as I'm concerned, the single biggest improvement we could make to our voting system would be to abolish the idea that every citizen should be entitled to a vote at all, much less an equal vote. I just don't think that people whose very lives are a testament to their chronic inability to make good decisions should be given a voice in affairs of state, in the fate of our nation. And I really do believe that if a voter can't master that whole "ball point" or "felt tip" technology, or that "punch card" technology, then their votes should be disallowed and discarded. |
