May be when the newbie creates an account, we can have an automated mail indicating some of do's and dont's, highlighting the Bible, FAQ section, an example post, and ofcourse, noob guide and some docs as attachment(s).

If it is in inbox, then the chances are high to read the documents. I personally feel that, if the info is in the mail itself, one can read easily, rather than having some hyperlinks to be clicked.

Nevertheless, if his/her attitude is *not to read anything before doing something*, we are helpless.

Edit: Searching is an issue where many people like the Google or Yahoo way. For instance, I hardly use the 8052.com search facility, rather I will search the keyword in Google, with site:8052.com option. I have found this way to have high hit ratio for my query. Not to critise Craig's work here, this forum structure is the best.

Craig, can we have a Google search box, with "Search in 8052.com" option in the side pane?
