Craig might shed more light on this topic, but it must have to do with the bandwidth of the server. For example, on my rather sparsely changing and only lightly visited pages, robots make some 50% of overall traffic... The Forum is changing heavily, that must be very attracting for the indexers. I'm not supressing Google indexing of the forum, at least not intentionally. In fact, I'd prefer that it were indexed. I will look into why this is not happening. Once it is properly Indexed, I'll look into using Google to replace the search functionality. I know the search facility could use improvement, but I'm not sure how much time I should invest in that when Google can probably do it 10 times better (assuming it actually indexes the forum!).
