#119182 - Showers Responding to: ???'s previous message |
10kW electric showers are very very common in the UK, where coldwater to taps except in the kitchen was always fed from a header tank and not direct from the mains, thus to get a decent shower, the only way is often to flash heat the water from cold.
It takes quite a few seconds to get hot water out, but I have never had a problem with adjusting water flow and keeping constant o/p temperature. It strikes me that Michael should complain vehemently to the supplier, then decide if he needs to build his own controller. Amen to to Erik and Kai for pointing out that you MUST have an absolute trip on water flow failure and overtemperature. At the moment, I have a furnace that reaches 1750 Deg. C with only 7kW input.... Steve |
