#119132 - fun vs safety Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Your suggestion is appreciated but what would be the fun or educational value in using a thermostat vs my onewire-8052-digital pot?
Whatever you do, when you monkey with the system FIRST install a thermostat that will shut off without any electronics involved when the temp get way too high. If, maybe a year from now, your 'excellent design' get hit by an ESD event and your child, or you, get scalded you will regret it forever. While this may be the first time scalding has been discussed, there has been similar issue with high voltage where the lack of a definite safety has been a concern. Erik |
