Fascism is a politico-economic system wherein there is close coupling between business and government. Can the coupling between big business and the current government possibly get any closer than it is now? Makes the old industrial-military complex look like child's play. Is it any wonder that anarchist abound wherever there is enough freedom for them to operate? I'm not an anarchist; I'm a Republican. Bush is a fascist in Republican clothing. Lincoln must be spinning in his grave (Lincoln, for those who may not know, was the first Republican US president). The electorate gets what it deserves. Yes, they do. Unfortunately the rest of us suffer because of it. Democracy is still the best system we've come up with yet, but at its worst, it's essentially mob rule. That's why we have a Constitution--which Bush has done his best to destroy. |
