Dear Erik,
Andy replies correctly: "Unanswerable"
then Farshid blurt out "Definatlely AVR" If we look from your side I may say the same thing. Availability of the parts and easiness of ordering the parts do not let you think our way. Also you don't even think on spending $100 for a development board probably cause your income would afford it easily, But as for the other countries where typical salary of an electronic engineer is normally around $350 he can't spend the same money like you do. We have a famous saying around here 'ye nafareh pisheh ghazi rafti' which means <word by word translation> you’re going to the judge only by yourself</translation> Now, Farshid: I have an application where a Philips LPC fit like a glove (80% usafe of all resources) It cost me $0.89. See, Told you! Philips MCUs are not easily available at the market here. So they are not popular in here, If someday Mehdi or any other engineers gets interviewed and he tells the interviewer that he has a lot of experience using the Philips MCUs it wouldn't catch his attention more than if he were experienced with AVRs or PICs. Erik said:
Do you still insist on "Definatlely AVR" Yes, I have two reasons: 1- "Mehdi" said:
Hello all
I know here is a 8051 forum But i want to have another experience in other micro's So please say me your comments about this Which is bettr AVR Or PIC? Mehdi brightly says that he wants to choose either the AVR or the PIC. So he didn't provided any other MCU a chance to get into the selection list. 2- Handy MCUs around here are Atmel 8051s and AVRs and PICs. So many other people around here and also in other parts of the world prefer the AVRs comparing to PICs. So I suggested him that the AVR is the way to go. Have Fun, Farshid |
