Most of my work is related to ultra-precise mechanical systems, my electronics is an add-on. Mathcad lets me model the key equations of systems like air bearings and non-linear fluid dynamics in near-real time, lets me tinker with the maths symbolically or numerically just as if I was working with pen and paper. The graphical and statistical tools are fantastically ueful for reducing large datasets, and extracting data buried in noise. I don't actually have any circuit analysis tools, apart from pen and paper ! Steve |
