#115977 - Psychopathic companies Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There was an article somewhere recently which assessed the 'personality' of a company, as experienced by customers. Most companies were classed as psychopathic. I suspect that a similar study of the company/employee relationship would come to a similar conclusion.
It's also well established that people who are climbing the greasy pole do it by spending 75% of their time by furthering their career and only 25% of their time doing their job. Small companies that are growing rapidly can be particularly difficult if the founders haven't learn to delegate, but the company is too big for them to know everything that's going on. If you want a good indicator of whether to work for a company, ask about staff turnover and average length of employment. |
