#100269 - Spend the money or do the hard work? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

if you are wanting something of this nature for free, you should start by reading the white papers and application notes available on the website's of RF link hardware manufacturers. That would be good for you to do anyway, so that you can gain an understanding of the RF link performance factors you should be measuring and designing for.
On the other hand, if you don't want to deal with all of this, you should look for intelligent RF modules that do all the channel coding for you and not the inexpensive RF hardware that make you design signal processing algorithms. I think Dan has summarised it very neatly: You must either spend the money to buy an "intelligent" module that does all the tricky stuff for you, or spend the time doing the reading, study, and research to enable you to understand the issues and do your own design. RF link design is not trivial - there are a lot of issues! Have you done as Dan suggested, and read the white papers and application notes available on the websites of RF link hardware manufacturers?
