#182389 - Why Bother ?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Why bother coming here to ask questions if you cannot read the items posted and investigate suggestions made? Do you have the initiative to learn about this embedded field and become successful with it?
The FTDI cables suggested are TTL serial. They are SPECIFICALLY designed to connect from a USB port on a PC over to an MCU that has UART interface pins. The whole idea is to eliminate the conversion from TTL to RS232 signalling levels and then the conversion back from RS232 to TTL levels that is required when you use adapters of the type that you showed. The FTDI cables are "the solution" to use for embedded projects that want to connect to PCs and Laptops via USB port. Michael Karas |
