In his posting he included a link to the FTDI web site for these cables.

You can pick out the appropriate type of cable on this page: http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/...Serial.htm

You have to select the TTL serial signal voltage levels that you need (5V, 3.3V) and type of connector or wire ended cable.
