Hey thanks Michael! Those links (especially the last one) are very helpful and will save time in the discovery phase of my project.
True, this project is not 8052 specific (although I will be using a 8052 for this) but the people on this forum and the type of "real world" interfacing that is often done with microcontrollers made me think that this would probably be the right place to find previous experience or at least some "I've seen something about this..." comments from someone, and in fact everyone's comments have been indeed helpful.
