Hi Guy!

If you want to issue a MIDI command each time the piezo is hit, a level comparator should be enought. But if you want different commands according to the hit force, then and ADC could be necessary.

To maximize piezo voltage, load impedance must be high (1 Meg or more). Piezo transducers behave like a voltage source in serie with a very small capacitance.
