But when you try to get the datasheet is a deception!
for example:
first link, no exactly LM78H05K in the list
second link, many LM78H05K, but when try to download, only LM78 datasheet avaible.

Follows a photo of the IC:

There is that "nifty" N... this means National?
(I dont know the manufacturers logo, just some like Fairchild, Atmel...)

I will try for 78H05 if you think it is enough.

You is right, my fault, I should have asked the datasheet before buying it, never had this problem before and was to excited in the moment, so bought it anyway... I have made a test using the pinout of the datasheets I got, they are very nice regulators anyway... for sure I have not thrown money away!
