If you need a real confirmation that REN=0 for a certain time would reset the receive side of the UART then you should contact the manufacturer. They should be able to supply this information. I will say though that you will want to carefully evaluate any supplied answer that you may get back. It is likely that you may also get answers that are similar to what I said but without the careful qualification that it is an "it should" type of answer. You will want to insist that they go back to the designer or look closely at the RTL of the chip design.
