They did it the other way round: .dll problem not fixed yet, but if one has the .dll, a new project can now be added. There was some weird complaint during installation, which might have meant that they attempted to deal with the missing .dll just that it went wrong at my place - I need to confirm with them.

There are also some ready-made projects (had no time to investigate them).

SDCC integration works (simple project compiled OK).

No source code debugging :-( only disassembler - not even the "native" SDCC .lst/.rst or any other mixed view :-((

Single stepping is incredibly slow, it took 20 seconds to go through the startup code (filling 256 bytes of IRAM) :-(((

It seems still a long way, but at least we can see where it goes.
