#176326 - no dll wit .net
Responding to: ???'s previous message

They state that it requires both a JRE >= 1.6 and a .NET framework >= 2.0. I'm sure you will get the DLL installed with .NET.

I do have .NET framework installed on that machine. Apparently, it uses a newer version of the M$ C runtime libraries than 7.something.

I didn't see any mention of SDCC being included, but I will look into this further. If they do they also need to distribute the sources, which I didn't see either.

I am not much into this GPL stuff, but isn't it enough to point to the sources? The installator is unnecessarily big at the moment already. This appears to be a "stock" v2.9.0, I don't believe they added anything to that on their own. As I said above, they even did not bother to recompile it with '51 only, all the other targets are included.

I also looked again at their header file distribution and they still don't have the SDCC headers right. The macros for Sfr and Sbit use Keil notation.

That's a shame, indicating they never tried them; but I doubt they read 8052.com, so unless somebody pesters them it's unlikely they notice.
