#176310 - in my (personal) opinion Responding to: ???'s previous message |
No other way?
1)- Inline software delay loops 2)- Using echo back of transmit bytes back into the receiver side of the UART 3)- External oneshot that triggers a port pin for polling 4)- External oneshot that triggers an external interrupt pin 5)- Using an external RS485 adapter that has built in auto-line-turn-around built-in 6)- An inexperienced implementer gives up on RS485 and opts for RS422 instead re No other way? I specifically said "in my (personal) opinion, there is no other way" NOT "technically there is no other way" as to the alternatives 1) sure, if you are willing to 'hang' for that while. 2) does not work - RI is not at end of the stop bit 3) & 4) extra hardware and one shot in the foot 5) high added cost 6) :) Erik |
