#176299 - e-mailed to Steve, Craig --- forum FYI Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Steve, Craig:
I need to update my 485 FAQ to add comments on the (recent) double buffer derivatives. Is there a way for me to get at it, the "edit" button comes back with a "too old" message. If either of you can do it, but can not enable me to do so, please add above 'Erik' the following: Some modern derivatives have a double buffer TI SBUF. For such derivatives it is required to either: a) Make reception enabled at all times and use RI also as 'transit complete' b) Keep track in software of when the TI is the end of last byte c) Disable double buffering (possible on all derivatives I have seen with double buffer) Erik |
