#175761 - no hurt intended
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I have no knowledge whatsoever about the current Atmel products.

The reason for my 'attitude' is that Atmel, when they came out with their first flash based '51's, in response to me reporting a defect by letter after many futile phone calls (which was many months later acknowledged by Atmel in an errata) sent a letter (this was before e-mail) to the management of the company i worked for stating that the reason for the reported problem was my incompetence. You can imagine how the management (w/o uC experience) of a small compny reacted to being told by a large supplier that I was 'incompetent'. When they, many months later, acknowledged that the defect I had reported did, indeed, exist I was out of a job.

Thus I WILL NOT USE ATMEL PRODUCTS

Erik

PS I know that every supplier has errata, that is a fact of life, thus the above is not that a bug was in the chip, but the reactin to my report.
