That's what I intended to say. I agree with this as well.

And, as noted, this is the advice that has been given out on national media over here in the light of the current Toyota "issues"

It makes sense that one should be able to turn off his engine without disabling his steering. I don't think I've ever had an experience that suggests one couldn't do that.
