so we know that at THAT POINT it IS OK.
This leaves us with a broken cable or broken serial port in PC. Replace both at least temporarily. I once almost went nuts trying to debug a serial communication with a cable with broken ground. Whenever I checked the continuity of the cable, it was OK, as removing it from the connector meant to releave a critical bend. JW |
