#161980 - Good point. Responding to: ???'s previous message |

A setup like this (uC writes raw data to SD/MMC card, PC interprets it) puts most of the processing effort on the side that's best equipped to deal with it - the PC. That's a very good point. As a general rule, it's usually best to push as much processing as far "up" the chain as possible to the system(s) with the most resources available. The downside, of course, is that any & every PC that needs to access this data has to have the special software installed. Without knowing the details of the application, it's impossible to say whether this might be a significant drawback in this case. |
