People need to earn living and feed their kids, so if top dogs only accepted for work, how would others (vast majority) eat? keeping in mind that not all jobs need supermen.
usually 10% of graduates are brilliant, what would you do with the vast majority of others?
My boss used to say that any employee has some capability to utilize no mater how stupid he is, which I laughed at at the time but now I think how true he was.
