#188349 - SiLabs isn't the only possible solution Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Though it's a very good and very complete one.
There are numerous 805x-core MCU's with extra on-chip memory, and others that do, in fact, support external memory, either by SPI, I2C, or with the old parallel interface. Further, there are probably several ways to reduce the pin-count needed to interface with the LCD. Looking for a single, ideal solution is a waste of time. There are serial memories that will probably meet the requirement. There are ways to interface an LCD, either by rearranging the pins in use, or by adding external logic. It's really not difficult, but one must open his/her mind. RE |
