Xilinx put hardcore PPCs in Virtex2-Pro and Virtex4FX and 5FX devices, but that is the end of the line. There is talk about hard ARM cores for the vapor Virtex7 devices, but they'll likely be horribly expensive, and the tools will still suck, even though EDK is being replaced. -a |
