But I can't see any mention of anything like that in either of the articles.

As these articles are obviously aimed at the non-technical, you'd have thought that they'd have made some comment about how to ensure you have the "right" LEDs - wouldn't you?

It is especially disappointing that a publication such as Electronics Weekly didn't notice this...
