#176513 - No silver bullet
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I think the ISO auditor has asked a reasonable question. You have however asserted that your procedure using the test jigs has a history that shows that no faulty product has ever been discovered in the field. This can carry some weight, and you could try the example from safety systems that can use "software of unknown provenance" if you have evidence that it works in the field. It might also be a good idea if the test jigs go on a maintenance schedule that includes "inspection by a person expert in the field".
