#170959 - It's much safer.

I have too many battery-powered tools which no longer work because the batteries are dead and not replaceable. Some convenience. I have plenty of extension cords.

.. use your battery powered stuff for the occasional few operations when dragging out the cords would be the major part of the job and use mains powered otherwise.

Erik

Safety is the reason I use 'em. I have mains-powered saws, etc, but prefer the battery-powered ones because I'm not so steady on my feet, having one artificial leg, and I've found I'm much happier when up on a ladder without a cord for my hand-held tools than with one.
