the old 12-volt AT&T Cellphone battery I've got is about 7" long, 1" thick, and 2-1/2" (I'm guessing) tall, and has a wall-wart charger and a clip that attaches to the battery. I'd bet that would work.

How big (size, capacity, etc) a battery do you need?
