#170894 - Why not a standard gel-cell?
Responding to: ???'s previous message
These things are quite powerful, if you buy the big ones, and a couple of them used to keep my entire lab with several computers, several printers, and a large-format plotter, plus test equipment running through 8-hour power outages when installed in a UPS. These batteries have lugs with standard-threaded (?) ... maybe unthreaded standard size ... holes. I use cable about 1 cm in diameter with 'em.

The battery set costs $200 or so, but it's quite robust. You can buy a very adequate 12-volt charger, one that will start your car with a 450-amp boost, that can handle gel-cells, at Wal-Mart.
