I don't agree with sourcing.
In days of old, with relays, it was standard practice to sink, because when adjusting or cleaning relay contacts, you don't blow fuses. Today, that argumant still holds, plus: 8051's boot outputs high, so sinking don't operate things that should not be operated. Sink is cheaper and simpler with MosFets, no extra supplies needed.
