Is that right or is it pure bullshit? If it's right, they should be able to cite the specific reasons for it. In this country, a lot is blamed on "Health and Safety" which really has nothing to do with it! As a generic statement, it sounds unlikely to me - but, perhaps they are actually talking about some specific type of sourcing output versus some specific type of sinking output? I guess a sourcing output would be power and/or current limited by the power supply, whereas a sinking output might not...? If that's the case, then you just need to ensure that the sinking output meets the required power/current/energy/whatever limiting specification... |
