...is Put the version number on the PCB itself. And that number is referenced in the schematic drawing.
Most of the times schematic drawing contains the description of changes. But if there are more changes then the "text file name" is written on the schematic, and that text file is maintained alongwith the Schematic file, and the PCB file. The above method is a crude method, but is effective (if maintained) religiously. Cost: (DevelopmentTime * DevelopmentCost) (+ or *) by xx number. "xx" depending upon the history of the customer, and your previous experience regarding payments related to the development of similar products. |
