#164294 - Cheaper? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

Misquoted, what I have said is "It will be cheaper to buy it than to make a one-off" Yes, for us in Europe or in the U.S.A., but not for someone in India or Pakistan. Also, if he needs to fabricate more than one inverter develop costs per inverter decrease and he can really save money, yes he can even make money if he can sell his inverter. Of course, I know, that fabricating an inverter is really hard stuff. But why assuming that they cannot solve all these problems? It will only be really cheaper to buy a ready one when they fail and fail and fail in the attempt to build something by themselves. But I would not assume this! Make no mistake, many European companies let develop their products in Pakistan, because engineers there are "skilled, motivated and cheap" (I apologize for that last word!). I know that ABB and Siemens sell inverters developed and fabricated in Pakistan and similar countries! Kai |
