In fact, I guess I should also look for "ERROR" - in case my "AT" has somehow got "tacked-on" to the end of some other, incomplete, command... I'll also have to cope with the possibility that the modem might be set to echo - which it might do at the "wrong" rate... using character time There's an idea; hadn't thought of that one - thanks! [1] Actually, if the modem is set to "Terse" mode (numeric result codes), it might just respond with "0"... |
