#157513 - Logic MOSFET
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Look for a logic-level MOSFET, N-channel, enhancement mode, (quite common) and power your slave through that. It will behave more or less as a switch, though it will have a small but finite ON resistance. IRLD 120, for example, has a moderately high on-resistance on the order of 300 milliohms at about 1 ampere, which I've found quite adequate for MCU power.
