That's right - the HTTP server is the thing that "serves-up" web pages.

True - for a simple webserver, it needn't be.

Don't let the term "server" make you think that it has to be a massive system - see: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=114032

There are plenty of examples of 8051-based web servers!


If you have a webserver in an ethernet to serial port adapter for 30 Euro, you can have one pretty well anywhere.

Even in your toaster...
